Jacobi-Based Parallel Adaptive Notch Eigenfilter

چکیده
Although we find it an efficient method to observe characteristics of the signal surface, on-line eigenanalysis is still not commonly in use in digital signal processing applications. By performing eigendecomposition on a signal correlation matrix, several DSP problems such as spectral estimation and adaptive filtering can be solved. Calculating eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the Signal Autocorrelation Matrix is, compared to other DSP methods, a numerically complex procedure. This problem can be solved in real time by using parallel processor arrays. Considering characteristics of the signal correlation matrix, the use of Symmetric Parallel Jacobi Method on a 2dimensional processor array is a suggested method. Both parallel solutions of the transformation and notch filter simulation results for single and multiple interference sinusoids are presented.

Adaptive Line Enhancement Using a Parallel IIR Filter with A Step-By-step Algorithm
A step-by-step algorithm for enhancement of periodic signals that are highly corrupted by additive uncorrelated white gausian noise is proposed. In each adaptation step a new parallel second-order section is added to the previous filters. Every section has only one adjustable parameter, i.e., the center frequency of the self-tuning filter. The bandwidth and the convergence factor of each secti...
متن کاملSolving Linear Equations by Classical Jacobi-SR Based Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm with Uniform Adaptation Technique
Solving a set of simultaneous linear equations is probably the most important topic in numerical methods. For solving linear equations, iterative methods are preferred over the direct methods specially when the coefficient matrix is sparse. The rate of convergence of iteration method is increased by using Successive Relaxation (SR) technique. But SR technique is very much sensitive to relaxatio...
متن کاملAdaptive Optimum Notch Filter for Periodic Noise Reduction in Digital Images
Periodic noises are unwished and spurious signals that create repetitive pattern on images and decreased the visual quality. Firstly, this paper investigates various methods for reducing the effects of the periodic noise in digital images. Then an adaptive optimum notch filter is proposed. In the proposed method, the regions of noise frequencies are determined by analyzing the spectral of noisy...

In this paper, a very high-speed Cordic based parallel weight extraction algorithm for QRD-RLS adaptive lter-ing is developed using the matrix lookahead technique. The algorithm is based on inverse updating and is pipelined at ne-grain level. The proposed architecture can be operated at arbitrarily high sample rates, and consists of only Givens rotations which can be mapped onto a Jacobi spe-ci...
متن کاملCascaded-parallel adaptive notch filter based on orthogonal decomposition
In this paper, rational orthogonal basis functions are introduced to realize cascaded-parallel structure of adaptive notch filters (ANF) in the case of identifying and separating multiple sinusoids from wideband signals. The structural orthogonality provides good tradeoff between convergence speed and computational complexity. A simplified mean square output error (MSOE) updating algorithm is d...
